Happy Feet for Females!

Women have four times as many foot problems as men. For that, you have high heels to thank for. Since your feet work hard to keep you mobile and on the go, they deserve to be pampered. This will not only ease your tiredness but keep your feet looking pretty.

Follow this routine a couple of times a week to get your feet in top shape ready to walk the road of success:

1. Eliminate hard, dry skin by soaking your feet in a pail of warm (not hot!) water. This will soften your skin to make removal, of dead skin easier. Then with a pumice stone, sloughing cream or foot file, gently rub callus or thick skin off your feet.

2. To soothe aches and reduce swelling, soak your feet in a bowl of warm water mixed with some mineral salts and lavender essential oils. Do this for five to ten minutes.

3. Trim your toenails straight across and use clippers designed for toenails to prevent ingrowns. Use an emery board to file sharp corners and edges.

4. At night, apply lotion to your feet, massaging the upper part of your foot with your thumbs in an outward motion.

5. Grasp your ankles and gently massage the ankle bone in a circular motion to remove any stiffness.
